And so it begins…

Starting a new blog almost feels like going on a blind date.  Will I like it? Will they like me? What should I wear or say? Well, it’s time to dive right in and get things started.  I’ve previously had another blog, and I’ll keep my blog attached.  But I felt it was time to move on and take this blogging thing a little more seriously.

The hardest part was coming up with a new domain name.  I chose Trailgaters Anonymous after my family and friends literally “Trail-gated” at my first 50k last fall.  I ran The North Face Endurance Challenge 50k last year in Wisconsin.  My family drove around to every aid station, drank, played games, jammed out to music (basically tailgated) the entire 5 hours it took me to finish.  It was hilarious to see how crazy they were getting by the end of my race.  Needless to say, I ended up driving everyone home after my race.  So this blog is in dedication to my crazy trail crew!

This blog will be full of pictures of my running adventures, reviews of products that I am testing out, and whatever else I feel like sharing with you.  So relax, happy reading, and check out how I’m testing my limits and exploring the world one path at a time.
